Abstract:

This article was based on the status of Chinese comprehensive grain production capacity. First, from the national food security, economic and social development, the international situation requirements, it improved the importance of food production capacity. Second, it used specific data analysis of the challenges of current Chinese grain capacity production, the resource constraints become increasingly prominent, weak infrastructure, frequency of natural disasters, pest and disease, relatively low efficiency, non perfect of supporting policy. Finally, it issues for the corresponding policy recommendations. That was to strengthen the protection of farmland and a high standard farmland construction; increase investment of the main producing areas and the agricultural infrastructure; increase food disaster prevention and resilience; enhance the technological level of food production; further strengthen policies to support grain production.
