《农业昆虫学》课程是植物保护骨干专业课之一。近年随着高等教育课程改革，该课程面临着知识面广、内容多、实践强与课时少、深入差、实验少的矛盾，出现了植保专业毕业生对农业昆虫学的知识掌握不够，学习兴趣不浓，动手能力较差等问题。所以笔者经过多年的探索与实践，着重强化对《农业昆虫学》课程大纲、内容、实验课、实践实习环节等实践性教学部分进行了改革尝试，归纳出一套适用于植保专业的《农业昆虫学》课程的实践性教学方法体系，突显了课程实践的重要性。
