Abstract: Selection of salt-tolerant Brassica napus varieties, development and utilization of tidal field for rapeseed production, has the practical significance in Jiangsu Province with more people and less land. Eight Brassica napus varieties/lines were utilized for yield and salt tolerance identification and screening in low (EC1:51.08±0.09 mS/cm) and medium (EC1:52.21±0.50 mS/cm) salinity tidal fields. The preliminary results indicated that, ‘Fengyou 737’, ‘Huayouza 95’, ‘Naiyan 1’ and ‘Yanyouza 3’ performance tolerant and harvested 2250 kg/hm2 in tidal field with salinity of 1 mS/cm, and almost lost in the tidal field with 2 mS/cm salinity. Wild mustard materials selected from the coastal beach exhibited stronger salt tolerance, grow normally on EC1:5 2.36 mS/cm beach, can be used for improving the salt tolerance of Brassica napus.
