Abstract: This work was to investigate the paternal origin of pineapple hybrid line H obtained by mixed-pollen cross. In this work, the phenotypes were investigated by comparing the growth characteristics and quality properties of H with its female parent as well as the two pollen supporters. Additionally, the genetic similarity and SNP gene source of H with its female and the two pollen supporters were calculated based on euclidean distance analysis and SLAF-seq. The obtained results suggested that the phenotypic parameters such as the phenology, plant size, as well as the quality and color aspects of fruit were quite alike to those of Yellow Mauritius, which was one of the pollen supporters, and some physical-chemical characteristics of H excelled. The aroma components of H were similar to those of female parent Smooth Cayenne. The size of fruit of H was lower than that of Smooth Cayenne and Comte de.Paris, while higher than Yellow Mauritius. The analysis of euclidean distance of phenotype parameters suggested that the genetic similarity between H and Yellow Mauritius was higher than that between H and Comte de.Paris. SLAF-seq showed that the possibility of H''s paternal origin from Yellow Mauritius was greater than that of Comte de.Paris. H''s paternal origin was probably from Yellow Mauritius.
