Abstract: In order to provide an effective guideline in control the moth for the famers of planting sugar beet, this article summarized the occurrence and impact of Mamestra brassicae on sugar beet production in China, reviewed some current advance on the distribution, occurrence regulation and impact factors, pointed out a serial of control measures including agricultural, biological, physical and chemical control for the moth, lastly, discussed the future development and research direction of safty and effective managing Mamestra brassicae in agricultural production.
