Abstract: In order to solve the problem fertilizer and water restricting China’s agricultural development, the article reviewed fertigation technology research in the past 20 years at home and abroad. The research found that: fertigation technology had an advantage of water-saving, fertilizer section and provincial workers. Furthermore, fertigation technology also improved crop production and use terrain adaptability, etc. However, fertigation technology existed some disadvantages, such as emitter clogging, salt accumulation and higher input costs for the first time. To promote the widespread use of this technology, it was necessary to rely on policy-driven and technological innovation to promote the development of fertigation technology, but also to strengthen the training and demonstration to promote speed of the technology application. In the future, it needed to study water, fertilizer balanced medicine, and to study automation control technology for promoting Chinese development of precision agriculture.
