Abstract: The main growth period, disease resistance, botany traits, agronomic characters, economic characters, and leaf appearance qualities of nine flue-cured tobacco varieties (‘LJ986’,‘LJ0110’,‘2972’,‘Yanan1#’,‘2819’,‘LJ982’,‘CF9010’,‘CF9087’ and ‘Qinyan96’as the control) were investigated in a field trial to select the tobacco varieties suitable for planting in Longxian region and needs for high quality flue-cured tobacco varieties of China Tobacco Hubei Industrial CO., LTD.. It was found that the effect of ‘2819’, ‘2972’, ‘Yanan1#’ and ‘CF9010’ was better, and growth and development, disease resistance, economic traits and leaf appearance qualities from the first four varieties were higher than that from ‘Qinyan96’; ‘2819’, ‘2972’, ‘Yanan1#’ and ‘CF9010’ should be recommended in Longxian region.
