Abstract:

Acta Agronomica Sinica is the journal of the Crop Science Society of China, which has played an important role in promoting the research of crop science and spreading the theory and technology. Academician Dai Song’en participated in the founding of Acta Agronomica Sinica and served as the first chief editor. In order to study the history of crop journals and have a more comprehensive understanding of the history of crop science, this paper describes the historical process of Dai Song’en's participation in the founding, suspension and resumption of Acta Agronomica Sinica based on historical data and expert interview. It is concluded that Dai Song’en played an important role in the start publication and resume publication of the journal.
