Abstract: [Objective] In order to screen out a degrading bacteria that had high tolerance for phenol and degradation of phenol biological materials.[Method] The study separated out a plant endophytic bacteria strains CXJ-1 from Artichoke by adopting Phenol degradation bacteria enrichment and separation technologies. And then determined the species of CXJ-1 through morphology observation, physiological and biochemical identification and 16S rDNA sequence analysis ,measured degradation rate of CXJ -1 strains for different concentrations of phenol by using 4-amino anti than stand light spectrophotometry.[Result] The results of the study found that homologous rate of 16 s rDNA conservative fragment between CXJ-1 strains and Raoultella terrigena was 100%,so The strain could be identified as R. terrigena.Largest concentrations of phenol that The bacteria could toleranced was 2500 mg/L,CXJ-1 Could be completely biodegraded in 48 hours When the concentration of phenol reached 1500 mg/L.[Conclusion] CXJ-1 Had a good application prospect for treatment of Phenol remaining soil and sewage which resulted from extensive use of pesticides.
