Abstract: In order to provide guidance and basis for resource development and maximum utilization of Michelia fujianensis Q.F.zheng, the method of choosing average tree and adopting stem analysis was conducted to study the growth rhythm of stem between the mixed forest of Michelia fujianensis Q.F.zheng and Cunninghamia lanceklata and the pure stand of Michelia fujianensis Q.F.zheng.It was showed that the time of the annual increment of breast in the mixed forest of Michelia fujianensis Q.F.zheng and Cunninghamia lanceklata to the maximum was one year earlier,that of the annual increment of tree heigjt was four years earlier and that of the annual increment of volume was three years earlier,compared with the pure stand of Michelia fujianensis Q.F.zheng,and the average increment of breast,height and volume of the mixed forest was always more than that of the pure shand,it was illustrated that the mixed forest can promoted the growth of Michelia fujianensis Q.F.zheng and the mixed forest of Michelia fujianensis Q.F.zheng and Cunninghamia lanceklata was the best of mixed species.
