Abstract: To explore the superiority of dynamic growth of tillers of super high yield rice varieties in Heilongjiang Province, 3 super rice varieties, ‘Songjing9’, ‘Longdao5’ and ‘Longjing14’ were studied with plot trail in this experiment, and 3 common rice varieties, ‘Tengxi138’, ‘Longdao3’ and ‘Hejiang19’ were used as contrast, respectively. The results showed that, contrast to common rice varieties, the decreased velocity of ineffective tillers were slower after reaching the maximum number of tillers stage and spike rate were higher of the super high yield rice varieties. The correlation between yield and each characters of tillers were not significant. Yield had negative correlation with the maximum number of tillers, growth velocity of tillers and decreased velocity of tillers, but it had positive correlation with number of available tillers and spike rate.
