Abstract: In this thesis, the natural presence, the superior resource of the agriculture in Yuncheng and the developmental achievement of the contemporary agriculture in recent years were elaborated. And the position which Yuncheng has occupied on agricultural development in Shanxi Province and among the four cities in Golden Triangle of Yellow River was analyzed. Meanwhile, the developmental disparity between Yuncheng and other areas whose agriculture has developed was expounded. The shortages of the development of the contemporary agriculture in Yuncheng were identified: the industrial chain has not been prolonged and the added value of products has not been enhanced; people’s brand awareness was poor resulting in fewer major brands; the size of the enterprises was relatively small so their business driving capacity is limited; the proportion and size of facility farming were small; the agricultural infrastructure like the irrigational facilities was poor. To cope with these problems, the corresponding measures were raised: the prominent place should be given to the promotion of restructuring and the characteristic layout of agriculture should be carried out to promote the conversion of agricultural development from low efficiency to high efficiency; land transferring should be encouraged and large scale of planting and breeding should be developed to promote the conversion of agricultural development from the decentralized to the centralized; the application of high technology should be enhanced and standardized producing should be implemented to promote the conversion of agricultural development from low end to high end; brand building should be paid more attention and industrialized management should be adopted to promote the conversion of agricultural development from the extensive to the intensive; labor migration should be accelerated and urbanization should be promoted to promote the conversion of agricultural development from the unitary to the coordinating; pluralistic support should be framed based on institutional innovation to promote the conversion of agricultural development from producing to managing.
