Effects of different curing and baking method on the quality and benefits of upper tobacco leaves

Abstract: According to the tissue structure characteristics of upper leaves in Ankang tobacco area, the curing and baking with stalk method of upper leaves was compared in this study. The results showed that: compared with centralized curing and unified braiding rod method, the proportion of superior middle tobacco significantly increased 18.94%, average price significantly increased 18.19%, appearance quality of raw tobacco was obviously improved, the proportion of orange smoke increased obviously, structure more loosed, oil increased, color enhanced , but the cost of labor, coal and electricity increased significantly, with a range of 1.14 yuan per kilogram.
