Abstract: As labor-intensive industry in modern agriculture, modern horticulture and related industries play special role in ensuring social stability. It briefly described the provincial party committee, the provincial government in order to speed up the development of economy and promote the urbanization process, put forward the construction in Kunming-Qujing green economy demonstration belt in Yunnan, in addition, horticultural crops yield per unit land area is much higher than other crops, according to investigation. Thus, horticultural crops were of great significance not only in Kunming-Qujing green economy demonstration belt, but also in promoting the economic development of residents surrounding the belt, and played a demonstration role for Yunnan Province.
