Abstract: To clarify the population dynamics and green control techniques of Empoasca vitis G?the in intercropping tea gardens in Suzhou, the authors studied the population dynamics and green control techniques systematically in the sole tea garden, loquat-tea intercropping, citrus-tea intercropping tea garden in Dongting Biluochun tea-growing area of Dongshan Town, Suzhou from 2015 to 2016. The results showed that: the population in the sole tea garden was larger than that in the intercropping tea gardens, and the number of individuals in the intercropping gardens were more stable than that in sole tea garden; the dynamic of population showed bimodal pattern, the two peak showed in late June and middle September, respectively; the physical control methods, such as the insect pest control coverage and the yellow board trapping and no-pruning after picking tea had significantly effect to control Empoasca vitis G?the; the control effect was up to 76.11% after 3 days by using plant pesticide with 0.3% matrine. Therefore, intercropping cultivation in tea garden is helpful to reduce the population of Empoasca vitis G?the thus mitigating the damage to tea garden. During the peak period, chemical and biological pesticides combined with physical and agricultural control methods can effectively decrease the damage to garden and reduce the use of pesticides 2 times. Therefore, the use of intercropping tea to build green control system could be an effective way to achieve green tea production goals.
