Abstract: This paper mainly reviewed some researches on prevention and control of Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus and Diaphorina citri in Taizhou from 2002 to 2017. It was found that the population of citrus HLB was distributed evenly in citrus orchards at the early stage of invasion, but subsequently developed in the pattern of aggregation. Accordingly, the population of Diaphorina citri belonged to the pattern of aggregation distribution. The effect on production and quality of citrus increased with the severe degree of citrus HLB. In conclusion, the pattern of invasion and epidemic diffusion of citrus HLB had a periodic change. A model between the cumulative incidence of HLB (PI) and its invasion year (N) was constructed as follows: PI=84.6740/[1+EXP (3.540-0.5838X)](n=14, r=0.9946**). In addition, tests showed that the pathogen population of Diaphorina citri in infected trees reached a peak in November and December. Meanwhile, the pathogen-carrying rate reached the highest in December as well. As a result, with the exception of three shoot stages (spring, summer and autumn), cleaning orchard in winter and early spring would also be an important part for controlling the citrus psyllid vectors. The“nine principles”and“three critical prevention periods and five tests”prevention and control technologies, which were explored and practiced by Taizhou, could play a positive role in the sustainable development of HLB control and citrus industry. These technologies can be popularized and applied to the similar citrus ecological zones.
