Innovation and Development of China Tea Industry in New Era

Abstract:

The sustainable development of China tea industry in the past 68 years after the establishment of New China was reviewed in this paper. The development of China tea industry was concluded to three characteristics by the author, there are the substantial increase in the tea production induced by the rapid development of the tea acreage, developmental difference between the geographical location and the extension from primary industry to the secondary industry and tertiary industry of tea. The developmental idea of innovation and quality safety in the development of tea industry in new era was highlighted by the author. The following six problems including the control of development scale in tea industry, the mechanization and the extension of improved variety in tea cultivation, cleaning and serialization of production management, the diversified products, intension and functionalization of products and the promotion of tea consumption via the health idea were discussed in this paper.
