IT Application Ability of English Teachers: Current Situation and Promotion Strategies Agricultural and Forestry Higher Vocational Colleges in the Internet Era

摘要: 英语教师信息化教学能力是实现高职英语教学信息化的关键。通过对农林高职院校152名英语教师信息化教学能力的问卷调查和深度访谈,发现高职院校对教师信息化教学能力提升的软硬件支持度比较高,英语教师对信息化教学的认识较好,对信息化教学研究与创新的态度也较积极,但其信息化教学能力整体偏弱,信息化教学的基础与技能以及技术应用与研究创新能力均较弱,尤其是对具有职业教育特色的虚拟仿真技术等现代教学手段的应用能力差。针对存在的问题,结合“互联网 教育”背景下高职英语教学的实际,提出以下提升策略:(1)强化信息化教学理念;(2)注重信息化教学专题培训;(3)完善信息化教学能力提升激励机制;(4)构建高职英语教师教研合作共同体;(5)创建农林高职特色信息化英语教学环境。

Abstract: English teachers’IT application ability is the key to realize higher vocational English teaching informatization. Based on questionnaire survey and interviews on the IT application ability of 152 English teachers in agricultural and forestry higher vocational colleges, it was found that: there was a relatively high support level of colleges in software and hardware to enhance teachers’IT application ability, and the higher vocational English teachers had better cognition in the informationization-based teaching, and had positive attitude to its research and innovation, but they were weak in overall IT application ability, and lacked basic knowledge and skill in IT application, and their technology application and research innovation ability in informationization-based teaching could not meet the requirement, particularly virtual simulation technology and other modern teaching means. Aiming at the existing problems, and combining with English teaching practice in higher vocational colleges under the background of internet education, the author puts forward promotion strategies as follows: (1) to strengthen the informationization-based teaching idea; (2) to highlight the special training on IT application ability; (3) to promote the incentive mechanism of IT application ability; (4) to build a teaching and research cooperation community for the higher vocational English teachers; (5) to create the informationization-based English teaching environment with the characteristics of agricultural and forestry vocational colleges.
