Abstract: Tea green leafhopper (Empoasca Vitis G?the), one of major tea pests in mainland China, grows concealed with small size, accelerated reproduetion and overlapped generations, which has become the most serious pest in tea prevention. This paper described the morphological features, damage modes and occurrence characteristics of tea green leafhopper, and primary the main control methods in recent years. Therefore, from pollution-free and green control perspective, a safer and more effective approach for tea prevention to control the number of leafhoppers population, and reduce the yield loss of tea, which had become a hot issue. So this paper can provide a reference in the tea green comprehensive prevention.
