Abstract: In order to establish the propagation system of‘Zhongqiusucui zao’, the sterilizing time of explants, kind choosing of explants, induction and proliferation of adventitious buds and roots were studied. The result showed that the bud explants from water-cultured branches was the best explant. This kind of explant could be sterilized by 0.1% HgCl2 for 5 min; MS (ameliorated) medium with 2.5 mg/L 6-BA and 0.15 mg/L NAA was the optimum starting medium. The induction rate of sprout was 94%. MS (ameliorated) medium with 1.5 mg/L 6-BA and 0.5 mg/L NAA was the optimum proliferation medium. The sprout number per explant amounted to 6.5. The optimum rooting medium was 1/2 MS (ameliorated) with 0.15 mg/L NAA. Sprout had an average root number of 3.6.
