Abstract: To study the biological situation in Weide Mountain, woody germplasm resources were investigated by sample plot and sample line method. The results showed that the woody germplasm resources were rich in this area. There were about 269 species of woody plants (trees, shrubs, bushes) in the mountain, belonging to 70 families, 151 genera. Among the plants, there were 139 tree species, 130 species of shrubs and vines, and 19 rare and endangered endemic species. The distributional law of dominant families and families with single species, single genus conformed to the warm temperate zone climate characteristics. In vegetation, temperate zone element was obvious, the tropical one occupied certain proportion. Shrub layer took up obvious advantages in community. The international distributional genera, temperate ones, tropical ones all had distribution in vascular plants. Based on this, we put forward suggestions for the protection and sustainable development of woody germplasm resources as increasing investigative efforts of germplasm biology, setting up test station for development and utilization of wild plants, establishing in situ and foreign reserves, classifying functional zone rationally, and developing peripheral economy.
