Abstract: The problem of coordinated development of urbanization and ecological environment is becoming more and more important. On the basis of reviewing the domestic and foreign literature on the coordinated development of urbanization and ecological environment, the connotation of urbanization and ecological environment was sorted out. The economic theory and the interaction mechanism of its development was explored. From the empirical study to understand the current domestic and international urbanization and ecological environment coordinated development of the status quo and the difference between time and space, the new urbanization and ecological environment coordinated development of the future direction and implementation of the summary. It was found that the current research on urbanization and ecological environment had focused on the application of environmental Kuznets curve and coupled coordination model. Due to the different angles and emphases of the analysis, there were some differences in domestic and foreign research. There were some shortcomings in the current domestic research.
