Abstract: This study aims to compare the chemical constituents in stems, leaves and flowers of honeysuckle. The contents of flavonoids, vitamin C, chlorogenic acid, soluble protein, free amino acid, soluble sugar and polysaccharide are measured by sulfuric acid- anthrone method, phenol- sulfuric acid method, 2,6- di chlorphenol indophenol titration method, Coomassie brilliant blue method, ninhydrin coloration method, and ultraviolet spectrophotometry. Results showed that the content of flavonoids and vitamin C in honeysuckle organs were leaf > flower > stem, the content of chlorogenic acid, soluble protein and free amino acid in honeysuckle organs were flower > leaf > stem, although the content in flower was the highest, there were also certain contents in leaves and stems; the soluble sugar content in honeysuckle organs was stem > flower > leaf, and the polysaccharide content was stem > leaf > flower. This study provides a basis for comprehensive utilization of honeysuckle.
