Abstract:

Chlorella, a primary producer in the water body, is an indispensable part of the aquatic ecosystem. It is of great significance for chlorella to promote material circulation and energy flow. Chlorella is also a standard test algae species for toxicological evaluation of aquatic environment. In order to provide a basis for assessing the aquatic ecological risk of chlorella and developing its relative industrial chain, this paper analyzed the influencing factors during the process of chlorella culture, summarized the toxicological effects of pollutants on chlorella, and discussed its nutritional value and application prospect. Results show that the temperature, light, pH, nutrients, nitrogen/phosphorus ratio are the influencing factors in the process of large-scale cultivation of chlorella. The heavy metals, pesticides, new type of nano materials, antibiotics and etc. could cause significant toxic effects on chlorella. Chlorella has a good application prospect in the process of sewage treatment, bioenergy utilization and other fields.
