Abstract: Introduction, demonstration, promotion of southern type of poplar 41 years in Siyang, average annual planting poplar 1.5 million, poplar into existing forest area of 36600 hectare, processing of poplar annual output value of 10 billions yuan, but with the development of poplar industry highlights resources, unbalanced development, irrational industrial structure and contradiction. In a comprehensive analysis of Siyang County, southern type poplar development history, present situation and the problems, some countermeasures and suggestions on the future development of southern type of poplar industry in Siyang was put forward.
