Abstract: Abstract: The family farm is a new main body of agricultural scale management. The family farm can promote agriculture to increase benefit , promote farmers to increase income through the management of appropriate scale, with informatization, intensification, mechanization, commercialization. After the survey for current situation of the development of the family farms in Fujian, some significant effects of increasing income and becoming rich for the farmers by the family farms were summarized. Some urgent problems existing in the development of the family farms were analyzed．Some countermeasures and suggestions were presented and discussed．They included solving the problems of farmers by improving the land circulation, ensuring the quality of the development of family farms by respecting the desire of farmers, selecting the management of appropriate scale by suiting measures to local conditions, ensuring healthy development of the family farms by enhancing the comprehensive strength, protecting the national food security by combining planting with breeding.
