Abstract: The primary objective of this study was to research effect of different row spacing transplanter on rice yield and corresponding agronomic techniques. Field experiments were conducted at Jiangxi province in 2011 and 2012, involving eleven early and late rice cultivars and two row spacing. The mechanical transplanting quality and grain yield of different treatments were measured. The results indicated that the 8 inch rice transplanter has a good mechanized planting quality and stable operation. The 8 inch rice transplanter compare with 9 inch rice transplanter, yield increased by 347.30 kg/hm2 and increase yield rate by 5.49% of early rice. The yield increased by 579.54 kg/hm2 and increase yield rate by 9.12% on 8 inch row spacing more than 9 inch rice transplanter of late rice. Based on experimental support research and related research results, the corresponding agronomic techniques for adapt to 8 inch rice transplanter was established.
