Abstract: The near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) is a non-destructive and fast detection technology which enables simultaneous multi-group analysis. In this paper, the detection principle of NIRS was analyzed at the technical level, and then the author discussed the application of NIRS to soil and fertilizer science in recent years, in order to study its development direction. With the continuous development and maturity of NIRS technology, and the expansion of its application spectrum, the research and development of NIRS will go deep. The study will provide certain references for the application of NIRS in related fields.
