Abstract: Based on land erosion of purple soil in Ninghua, different land-use patterns taken soil and water conservation measures and effect of soil and water conservation with 3 measures (forest land, slop land and tea orchard) were investigated by observing sample plots and runoff plots. The results showed that as the time went on vegetation coverage significantly by forest management, that were No.2(95%)>No.3(80%)>No.4(50%)>No.1 (35%), the contents of soil organic matter, hydrolyzable nitrogen, available potassium and available phosphorus were increased and soil fertility improved. The runoff and sediment could be seen that it was the most significant that fish-scale pits planted tea-oil tree biological measures control soil erosion, runoff and erosion were 61.09%, 97.33% respectively. The research provided the scientific basis for controlling soil erosion in purple soil region and provided services for the sustainable development of agriculture in Ninghua.
