Abstract: In order to understand the natural growth status of Halesia macgregorii, revealing its natural growth processes, based on a stem analysis data of 54- year- old Halesia macgregorii in Jiulianshan Mountain of Jiangxi Province, analyzed H. macgregorii tree height, DBH, volume growth process. The results showed that 5-10 age class tree height of the fastest growing, 15-35 age class for the vigorous growth period of DBH, 35 age class into volume vigorous growth period. Age of 54 years, the volume growth was still growing vigorously. The curve of average increment and the curve of current annual increment did not intersect, which showed the H.macgregorii did not reach the quantity maturity. H. macgregorii growth was relatively slow, seed germination difficulties, natural growth of plants was scarce, artificial cultivation of seedlings should be carried out and return to nature and the reconstruction of the population, artificial supplementary expand its population.
