Climate regionalization of malting barley planting area based on GIS technologyin Hexi of Gansu Province

Abstract: : [Objective]Research aimed at use local climatic resources scientificly and rationally, in order to provide a scientific basis for Hexi area of Gansu Province reasonable layout of malting barley production and sustainable development.,[method] According malting barley climatic conditions needed for growth, combined with the results of previous studies, Select year0accumulated temperature, panicle initiation stage (late May to early June) and the average temperature of grain filling period (late June to mid-July), and the number of annual sunshine climate elements as malting barley climate zoning index. Used Hexi region 20 meteorological stations from 1981 to 2010 standard climate statistics and 1:250000 geographic information. Established a division factor and projections model of geographic information by multiple regression method, usingGIS technology and expert scoring method,[Results] malting barley of Gansu Hexi areas were refined agro-climatic division, divided into appropriate, second suitable and unsuitable three areas.[Conclusion] The results show that suitable areas are mainly located along the north Qilian Mountains and nearby the Mazong Mountain12 counties (districts, cities) above sea level in the region between 1500 to 2200m.
