Abstract: In order to guide the healthy development of private rubber industry in Hainan Province, its development history was reviewed, and the current situation and existing problems were analyzed. The existing problems included the falling price, labor shortage, insufficient technic support, inadequate high quality seedlings, low- level standardized production and weak risk resistant ability. Thus the authors provided suggestions, such as developing under forest economy, strengthening social service, perfecting subsidy mechanism and constructing standardized base of natural rubber, to promote the development of private natural rubber industry in Hainan Province.
