Occurring Characteristics of Nysius ericae (Schilling): The First Discovery on Wolfberry

Abstract: Nysius ericae (Schilling) was a pest , which damaged on the Wolfberry and occurred in Ningxia for the first time. In order to determine the harm rules of Nysius ericae (Schilling) in wolfberry field, and provide scientific basis for forecasting and comprehensive treatment, the Distribution, damage and morphologic character of Nysius ericae (Schilling) investigated in wolfberry basement in Zhongwei, NingXia in 2017 by the method of observation. The results showed that Nysius ericae (Schilling) began to endanger wolfberry field at the beginning of July, and the peak period of damage occurred on July 15. The morphological characters were adult, nymph and egg. The adults and nymphs clustered mainly to harm buds and fruits , and can also damaged leaves and twigs. The period of damaged buds was the period of mating and spawning of Nysius ericae (Schilling).
