Abstract:

The aim is to determine the control effect and safety of 75% Halosulfuron-methyl WDG, 25% mesotrione·atrazine OD and 73% MCPA-sodium·ametryn·diuron WP against Cyperus rotundus L. in sugarcane field. Through the field experiment, the cotyledon color changes of sugarcane and C. rotundus L. with different herbicides were investigated, and the mortality rate of surface plants, roots and underground corms (or buds) of C. rotundus L. were also studied, respectively. The results showed that 75% Halosulfuron-methyl WDG had more than 90% control effect against surface plants, roots and underground corms (or buds) of C. rotundus L. and it was safe to sugarcane. 73% MCPA-sodium·ametryn·diuron WP could effectively control the surface plants and roots of C. rotundus L., but its control effect on underground corms (or buds) was low. 25% Mesotrione·atrazine OD could only discolor the surface plants of C. rotundus L., and was almost ineffective to the roots and underground corms (or buds) of C. rotundus L.. Therefore, 75% Halosulfuron-methyl WDG, which has good control effect against C. rotundus L. and is safe to sugarcane, can be used as a rotation herbicide for C. rotundus L. control in sugarcane field, and the appropriate dosage is 90, 135 g/hm2.
