Abstract: To increase farmers' income, as a core element of "agriculture, village and farmer" work, is the focus of the whole society. Based on the example of Taizhou city, this paper analyzes the current situation of farmers' income from the perspectives of income level, income structure and income gap. Furthermore, restraining factors that affect the farmers' income increment are studied from the aspects of high-efficiency agriculture, deep processing of agricultural products, rural labor force and risk of agricultural production. Finally, a series of countermeasures and suggestions are proposed from the taches of promoting maximum employment, driving entrepreneurship and wealth acquirement, innovating system and mechanism, improving social security system, and so on.
