Abstract: In order to research the function groups and its ecological characteristics of Marco-soil-fauna of mountain apple orchard, and used to guide in the apple orchards of diseases and pests control. In September 2011 (autumn), November (winter), in March 2012 (spring), June (summer), the function groups and its ecological characteristics of Marco-soil-fauna have carried out preliminary investigation at mountain apple orchard in Liu Lin Town of Yan’an city. A preliminary study on the macro-soil-fauna guilds was done, which took combining research methods of field investigation sampling, fixed point dynamic observation and laboratory identity classification. 289 macro-soil-faunae were taken and the individuals belong to 11 orders, 5 classes and 3 phyla, including Coleoptera larvae 4 families and Coleoptera adult 5 families. Yan’an Liu Lin Town in mountain apple orchard of macro-soil-faunas can be divided into Saprozoic, Phytophage and Predators and Omnivores four functional groups. The research shows that in the various functional groups, Phytophage accounted for the largest share, followed by the Predators and Saprozoic minimal proportion; function groups of Macro-soil-fauna in terms of composition have relative stability.
