Research Progress and Prospects of Amygdalus mira (Koehne)

Abstract: Amygdalus mira Koehne Kov.et Kost, also known as Tibet peach, belongs to Rosaceae Prunes persica, and is one of Chinese endemic species which has many excellent characteristics and is a living fossil in peach germplasm resources at home and abroad. It has a strong resistance to cold, drought and disease. The recent researches on its resource distribution, biological characteristics, physiological and biochemical characteristics, taxonomic status, genetics research, fruit quality were summarized, and prospects on future research were discussed for a better protection, development and utilization of Amygdalus mira (Koehne).
