Abstract:

To select fresh soybean varieties with high yield, high quality, strong resistance and moderate growth period, and are suitable for promotion in Jiangsu Province, ‘Liaoxian 2’ and ‘Suzao 1’ were used as experimental materials for hybrid, and their offsprings were identified through many years of multi-location test appraisal, finally, fresh soybean ‘Sukui 3’ was selected with high yield and soybean mosaic virus (SMV) resistance. The average fresh pod production of ‘Sukui 3’ increased by 18.92% compared with that of the control ‘Taiwan 292’ in the regional test of Jiangsu Province in 2016-2017. In 2018, ‘Sukui 3’ participated in the spring-sown fresh soybean production test in Jiangsu Province. The average fresh pod of ‘Sukui 3’ increased by 16.58% compared with that of the control. The new soybean variety ‘Sukui 3’ was certificated by Jiangsu Provincial Crop Variety Approval Committee (variety certification number: 20190006) in June 2019. This variety has the characteristics of high yield and resistance to SMV, and is suitable for planting in various parts of Jiangsu. In this study, the characteristics and high-yield cultivation techniques of ‘Sukui 3’ were described in detail, which could provide useful information for relevant research institutions and agricultural extension departments.
