Abstract:

The analysis of the spatial distribution of agriculture-related leading enterprise has guiding significance for understanding the regional modern agricultural development level. The study took agricultural-related leading enterprises in Shanxi Province as the research objects, used geographic analysis methods such as kernel density estimation and local hotspot analysis to study their spatial distribution and aggregation characteristics, and used multiple regression analysis to determine the factors which would affect the distribution of agriculture-related leading enterprises. The results show that the agricultural-related leading enterprises in Shanxi Province gather in the central of the province and form obvious hot spots in the junction of Taiyuan, Jinzhong and Lvliang, while the cold spots are scattered in the northwest of Taiyuan and the middle part of Xinzhou. In terms of influencing factors, the total mileage of highway, agricultural machinery total power and the total retail sales of social consumer goods show clear positive effects on the layout of the leading enterprises, while urbanization rate is negatively correlated with the layout. According to the above analysis results, the study puts forward suggestions such as giving full play to the radiation effect of the leading enterprises in hot spots, upgrading provincial transportation facilities, improving agricultural production conditions, building regional famous brands and addressing the problem of rural population loss.
