Abstract:

SWOT analysis was used to comprehensively analyze the advantages (S), disadvantages (W), opportunities (O) and risks (T) of agricultural product processing industry of Zhumadian City in the new development stage. The results showed that the advantages were greater than the disadvantages, and the opportunities were greater than the challenges. Growth strategy (SO) and coping strategy (ST) should be focused on, meanwhile, reverse strategy (WO) and defensive strategy (WT) should also be considered, therefore the development strategy of agricultural product processing industry in Zhumadian City was comprehensively determined. Some suggestions were put forward such as cultivating and introducing agricultural product processing enterprises, expanding the scale of processing industry, improving the deep processing ability of agricultural products, giving full play to the pulling ability of platform carrier, promoting transformation and upgrading of agricultural product processing industry, and increasing policy support.
