Study Development Strategy of Ecological Agriculture in Hilly and Mountain Area of Henan Southern Region Based on SWOT Method- Taking Xinxian County for Example

Abstract

Abstract: Taking Xinxian County for example, A comprehensive analysis was made for strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of ecological agriculture in hilly and mountain area of Henan southern region by SWOT analysis method. The results indicated that, as for the ecological agriculture, the strengths and opportunities outweigh the weaknesses and challenges. Development strategy of ecological agriculture in Xinxian County should be determined by taking into account of growth strategy (SO) and diversification strategy (ST) thinking about turnaround strategy (WO) and defensive strategy (WT) meanwhile. Policy and recommendations were put forward for selecting suitable leading industry, improving layout, developing leading enterprises, expanding industrial chain, strengthening scientific support, building high-end brands, developing marketing, increasing financial subsidies and strengthening financial support.
