Effect of Ficus tikoua Bureauto and Perennial Ryegrass Interplanting on Cd Absorption

Abstract: To study the possibility of using Ficus tikoua Bureauto to promote Cd absorption by perennial ryegrass, a pot experiment was conducted, and the Cd content in the overground part was compared in different treatments. The results showed that the Cd content of perennial ryegrass was 5.6439×10-3 mg of per pot when it was interplanted with Ficus tikoua Bureauto and that of CK was 4.6164 × 10- 3 mg, indicating that the interplanting could increase Cd content of perennial ryegrass by 1.0275×10-3 mg of per pot, the increase rate was 22.26%. It is concluded that the interplanting could promote the Cd absorption of ryegrass. The study provides a new way to promote the absorption ability of phytoremediation.
