Abstract: To explore the new utilization approach of agricultural waste, the compound matrixes were prepared with banana and pineapple leaf compost and coconut chaff in different ratios. The physical and chemical properties of the matrixes and their effects on the growth, physiological and biochemical properties of Chinese flowering cabbage seedlings were investigated. Based on membership function, the comprehensive quality of the seedlings was analyzed, and the effects of different compound matrixes on seedlings were studied. Results showed that the seedling quality was the best when the ratio of the banana and pineapple stem leaf compost to coconut chaff was 5:5, and the average value of membership function was 0.845. The results indicate that the matrix at this formula can be recommended as the organic substrate for Chinese flowering cabbage seedling.
