The qualitative and quantitative study on the anthocyanosides in the Photinia serrulata red pigment

Abstract: Photinia serrulata ,which was been widely used for landscape, was a new kind of cross-breeding plant from rosaceae. Nowadays, photinia serrulata has been found everywhere in China, however, it was rarely studied on the utilizing of its leaves. The separation of red pigment of photinia serrulata was by the macro porous adsorption resins and it was affirmed that the anthocyanosides were the main ingredients. According to two simply methods to measuring the anthocyanosides’ content, the content of the pigment from this study was measured as 13.5% and the color value was 45.6.
