The Industrial Development of Poor Villages Under the ‘One Village One Product’ Mode—An Example of Chinese Prickly Ash Industry in Bojiluo Village

Abstract:

The agricultural industry is an important foundation to promote rural development and increase farmers' income, and the mode of ‘one village one product’ has become a model for rural industrial development. Based on the key points of this mode, we discussed the industrial development of poor villages, aiming to provide a reference for promoting the characteristic industries in poverty stricken regions. Taking Bojiluo village of Muli County as an example, we introduced the current development status of its Chinese prickly ash industry, and analyzed the existing problems in the development process from the perspectives of industrial planning, planting technology, marketing, and etc. Finally, we proposed countermeasures to solve the existing problems in the industry development of Chinese prickly ash in the village from the aspects of top-level planning, industrial mechanism, infrastructure construction, technical support, product mode update and post-harvest management.
