Flower Color Diversity of Ceiba speciosa and C. insignis in Guangzhou

摘要:

应用颜色科学研究大腹异木棉(Ceiba speciosa)和美丽异木棉(C. insignis)花色多样性,以期为花色分类方法提供新思路,并为2种异木棉新优花色品种培育提供素材。研究先利用RHSCC进行花色标定,再采用多种颜色系统(孟赛尔颜色系统和ISCC-NBS色名表示法)进行分级赋值以便进行运算,最后采用系统聚类的方法进行花色分类。通过聚类分析将大腹异木棉的花色分为4个色系(紫粉色、紫红色、淡紫粉色、黄白色),将美丽异木棉花色分为3个色系(紫粉色、红紫色、紫红色)。采用的花色分类方法能够成功地将美丽异木棉和大腹异木棉进行花色分类。

Abstract:

Color science is used to study the flower color diversity of Ceiba speciosa and C. insignis, aiming to provide references for flower color classification methods and materials for the cultivation of new excellent varieties. First, the Royal Horticultural Society Colour Chart (RHSCC) was used to calibrate the flower color. Secondly, multiple color systems (Munsell color system and ISCC-NBS Method of designating colors) were adopted for grading and valuation. Finally, the system clustering method was used for color classification. The results show that the color of C. insignis is divided into 4 groups (purple pink, purple red, light purple pink, yellow white), and the color of C. speciosa is divided into 3 groups (purplish pink, reddish purple, purplish red). The color classification method in this study can successfully classify the colors of C. speciosa and C. insignis.
