Abstract: This paper expounds the necessity of revising the Law on the Quality and Safety of Agricultural Products from the aspects of new stage of agricultural development, new requirements for supervision, adjustment of department responsibilities, problems in law enforcement and new practices in supervision. Then, it puts forward the principles of paying equal attention to both quality and safety, giving priority to prevention, as well as joint administration, and suggestions on content revision of the law.
