Abstract:

In order to control the risks in the chain of genetically modified technology research and development and achievement transformation, major countries in the world have formulated relatively strict genetically modified safety management laws or regulations. This article analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the safety management mechanism of agricultural genetically modified organisms in China at this stage by investigating the corresponding mechanisms of major countries in the world, and finds that there is a lack of coordination and unification of the standard system management in the development process, and the inspection and quarantine level needs to be improved, so do the legal and regulatory systems. Based on this, countermeasures and suggestions are put forward, such as strengthening the coordination of standard system management, enhancing the inspection and quarantine level of genetically modified products, increasing the publicity of genetically modified products and improving the construction of laws and regulations on the safety of genetically modified food.
