  Functional Rice in Southern Shandong Province: Introduction and Variety Screening TENG Shihui 2022, 12 (7):  1-4.  DOI: 10.11923/j.issn.2095-4050.cjas2020-0247 Abstract + ( 245 )   HTML ( 13 )   PDF ( 1165KB )   ( 137 ) In this study, to screen out functional rice varieties suitable for cultivation in southern Shandong Province, eight rice varieties were selected as experimental materials, and the protein, iron, zinc and selenium were quantitatively detected through variety suitability investigation and plot test. Survey results showed that each test variety had normal characteristics. Although the differences between the varieties were quite obvious, the varieties could adapt to the climate in southern Shandong Province, and the plant type of ‘Changlixiang’ was compact, the tillering ability of ‘Crystal No.1’ and ‘Daliangnuo No.1’ were strong, and the resistance of each variety to the four main diseases in Southern Shandong Province was relatively good. The results showed that ‘Heixiang DL-1’ had the best content of functional elements, ‘Daliangnuo No.1’ had relatively high content of protein and iron, and higher content of selenium than that of common varieties. ‘Crystal No.1’ could be planted as iron rich variety, ‘Crystal No.2’ and ‘Yueguang’ could be planted as zinc rich variety, and ‘Changlixiang’ could be developed as selenium rich variety.

  Effect of Several Biological Agents on Controlling Rice Blast and Improving Yield and Quality of Organic Rice YAN Yu, WANG Weijian, YAO Yutian, CHEN Chen, QIU Jun, ZHANG Xiaowei, CHEN Xijun 2022, 12 (7):  5-11.  DOI: 10.11923/j.issn.2095-4050.cjas2021-0059 Abstract + ( 244 )   HTML ( 11 )   PDF ( 1251KB )   ( 139 ) Rice blast is one of the most serious diseases in organic rice production. To clarify the effect of several biological agents on controlling rice blast and improving yield and quality of organic rice, the disease severity, defense enzyme activities, and yield and quality indexes were detected after seed treatment and foliage spraying using the biological agents. Results showed that the biological agents used for seed soaking combined with foliage spraying had high control effects on rice blast, and the control effect of Bacillus subtilis, shenqinmycin and kasugamycin on leaf-blast was 62.84%, 58.11% and 54.05% respectively, and the disease index control efficacy was 81.07%, 56.49% and 46.11% respectively, the control effect on panicle-blast was relatively poor, 63.63%, 54.62% and 54.05% respectively, and the disease index control efficacy was 48.92%, 34.23% and 29.85%, respectively. After treatment with biological agents, the activities of defensive enzymes in rice plants were significantly increased, and most of them reached the maximum within 1-7 days. Yield-related indexes such as grain number per panicle, seed setting rate and 1000-grain weight increased significantly while the rate of brown rice, milled rice and head milled rice increased slightly. The content of amylose and protein increased slightly while the rate of chalky and green rice decreased significantly. The results indicated that application of biological agents could effectively control rice blast and improve the yield and quality of organic rice.

  Analysis on the Cause of ‘Stay Green’ of Summer Soybean in Southwest Shandong Province ZUO Xiufeng, JIAO Yuxia, CAO Zeng, ZHAO Yanli, ZHU Qingrong, WANG Xianghui, HU Yinghua 2022, 12 (7):  12-16.  DOI: 10.11923/j.issn.2095-4050.cjas2022-0036 Abstract + ( 331 )   HTML ( 10 )   PDF ( 1248KB )   ( 153 ) The summer soybean ‘stay green’ occurs occasionally in southwest Shandong in recent years, and it causes serious loss in some years. To explore the potential reasons of this phenomenon, the study conducted two experiments to illustrate the effects of temperature and Riptortus pedestris on summer soybean ‘stay green’ in two counties of Jining City. The experiments of different sowing dates of the same soybean variety and different treatments of the same soybean variety at the same sowing date were carried out to explore the effects. Different soybean varieties all had a relatively good yield with different sowing dates in 2019-2020; while under different treatments of the same variety at the same sowing date, except the difference of the yield, there was no any large scale of ‘stay green’, and the rate of the phenomenon was below 2%. Preliminary result demonstrated that the outbreak of soybean ‘stay green’ in 2018 in southwest Shandong Province was related to the high temperature in flowering and podding stage, which had nothing to do with Riptortus pedestris. It is suggested that farmers should postpone the sowing date of summer soybean and strengthen the field management, which are important to the production of soybean.

  Rape Clubroot in Anning: Biocontrol Techniques PAN Wenzheng, WANG Bin, ZHANG Qi, MAO Minglin, LI Cheng, ZI Wenlin 2022, 12 (7):  17-20.  DOI: 10.11923/j.issn.2095-4050.cjas2020-0253 Abstract + ( 213 )   HTML ( 4 )   PDF ( 1172KB )   ( 129 ) The aims are to explore the new biological control model of rape clubroot in Anning, and to study the effect of biocontrol strains on rape clubroot. The research is carried out through a plot test with direct application of the biocontrol functional strains, and adding the biocontrol functional strains to organic fertilizer or substrate application. The results showed that: the biocontrol functional strains could effectively reduce the occurrence and damage of rape clubroot. The control effect was 74.03% on rape clubroot when biocontrol functional strains were directly applied, 83.12% when the strains were added to organic fertilizer, 68.83% when the strains were added to substrate, and 89.61% when the chemical control was used. Adding biocontrol strains to organic fertilizer which was decomposed and fermented from rape straw could achieve the best control effect on rape clubroot, and promote the growth and development and the yield of rape. Compared with conventional fertilization, the plant height, the effective branch number and the yield were increased by 7.63%, 26.08% and 16.81%, respectively.

  Control of Postharvest Anthracnose of Mango Fruits by Luna Sensation and Nativo YE Zi, SU Chulian, SUN Yu, LIU Xiaomei, PU Jinji, ZHANG He, HUANG Hai 2022, 12 (7):  21-25.  DOI: 10.11923/j.issn.2095-4050.cjas2020-0239 Abstract + ( 694 )   HTML ( 7 )   PDF ( 1275KB )   ( 242 ) In order to explore the methods of controlling postharvest anthracnose by using fungicide in mango flowering and fruiting stage, Luna Sensation and Nativo fungicides were selected to carry out the experiment of postharvest anthracnose control. A total of 6 treatments were designed, including two application dose gradients of each fungicide, a prochloraz test area and a blank test, to compare the disease index among the treatments. The results showed that the fungicides used in this experiment did not harm the young leaves, flowers and young fruits of mango at flowering and fruiting stage, nor did they affect the ripening of mango. 7 days after harvest, the control effect of Luna Sensation sprayed with 1500 times of concentration was equivalent to that of prochloraz, and the control efficiency reached 72.73%, the shelf life could be maintained for 7 days. The control effect of Nativo sprayed with 750 times of concentration was the second, its control of mango anthracnose during the postharvest storage period was effective, and the shelf life and storage period of mango were prolonged obviously. The presence of a new succinate dehydrogenase inhibitor in Luna Sensation, named fluopyram, could work by inhibiting the activity of succinate dehydrogenase. Succinate dehydrogenase inhibitors impede the mitochondrial function by interfering with four subunits of complex II, inhibiting the production of energy and the growth of pathogenic bacteria. The fungicides in this study are consistent with prochloraz in treatment and have a certain value of popularization and application.

  Antagonistic Bacterium JM-3 Against Strawberry Fusarium Wilt: Identification and Bio-control Efficacy JIANG Lili, SUN Shoumin, YANG Shuai, WU Chong, SUN Ruihong 2022, 12 (7):  26-32.  DOI: 10.11923/j.issn.2095-4050.cjas2020-0246 Abstract + ( 181 )   HTML ( 3 )   PDF ( 1807KB )   ( 161 ) The objective is to clarify the taxonomic status of the antagonistic bacterium JM-3 against strawberry Fusarium wilt, and evaluate its control effect. The bacterium was identified through physiological and biochemical analysis and sequence alignment of 16S rRNA, gyrA and gyrB genes. Meanwhile, its bio-control effects were evaluated by antimicrobial activity, pot and field control efficiency test. Results show that the bio-control bacterium JM-3 is Bacillus velezensis, and its inhibition rate of plate confrontation to Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. Fragariae is 57.42%. Pot experiment shows that, 90 d after treatment, the control effect of bio-control bacterium JM-3 solid preparation on disease index of strawberry Fusarium wilt is 83.02%, higher than that of liquid preparation and carbendazim treatment, indicating the higher persistence of solid preparation. The result trend of field experiment is basically consistent with that of pot experiment. Sugar-acid ratio of strawberry fruit treated with liquid and solid preparation of bio-control bacterium JM-3 is 8.88 and 8.90 respectively, significantly higher than that of carbendazim treatment and CK. The experiment indicates that antagonistic bacterium JM-3 has excellent bio-control effect on strawberry Fusarium wilt, is helpful to improve strawberry fruit quality, and exhibits a good application prospect.

  Improvement Effect of Combined Application of Phosphogypsum and Limestone Powder on Newly Cultivated Red Soil YAN Jianli, ZHANG Mingkui, WANG Daoze 2022, 12 (7):  33-37.  DOI: 10.11923/j.issn.2095-4050.cjas20200300063 Abstract + ( 232 )   HTML ( 8 )   PDF ( 1104KB )   ( 147 ) Newly cultivated red soil has many defects, such as strong acid and poor nutrient content, and needs to be improved by many measures. To understand the effect of phosphogypsum and limestone powder on reducing acidity and increasing mineral nutrients in the newly cultivated red soil, a pot experiment was designed to study the effect of applying different amounts and combinations of phosphogypsum and limestone powder on soil acidity, available nutrients and crop growth. The results showed that both phosphogypsum and limestone powder could significantly reduce soil acidity and increase soil available calcium, and the effect increased with the increasing dosage of amendments. Under the condition of equal mass application of the amendments, the effect of the single application of limestone powder or the combined application of phosphogypsum and limestone powder on the reduction of soil acidity was higher than that of the single application of phosphogypsum. The effects of the combined application of phosphogypsum and limestone powder or single application of phosphogypsum on the improvement of soil mineral nutrients, physical properties and vegetable growth were higher than those of single application of limestone powder. Under the experimental condition, the application of phosphogypsum did not significantly increase the accumulation of heavy metals in the soil, and the content of Cd, Cr and Pb in vegetables decreased due to the increase of soil pH, but the content of As increased slightly, which had no obvious effect on the accumulation of other heavy metals in vegetables. The results showed that the newly cultivated red soil with obvious acidification and low nutrients could be improved by the combined application of phosphogypsum and limestone powder instead of limestone powder alone, but the application amount of phosphogypsum should be controlled properly.

  Selection and Suitability Evaluation of Eight Introduced Flue-cured Tobacco Varieties in Shaoguan Ecological Tobacco Areas LI Jiqin, YUAN Qinghua, LIU Yang, WEN Zhiqiang, QIU Chunren, ZHANG Haixia, MA Zhuwen 2022, 12 (7):  38-44.  DOI: 10.11923/j.issn.2095-4050.cjas2020-0228 Abstract + ( 321 )   HTML ( 3 )   PDF ( 1162KB )   ( 180 ) To screen out suitable flue-cured tobacco varieties in Shaoguan ecological tobacco areas, a field comparative experiment was conducted to study the differences of eight introduced flue-cured tobacco varieties on agronomic traits, disease occurrence, economic traits, appearance quality, sensory quality and chemical composition. The results showed that the field comprehensive performance of ‘FJ312’, ‘Minyan 7’and‘Yunyan 87’ were better than that of the control ‘K326’, the three varieties’ plant height was 78.0 to 108.5 cm, and the maximum leaf area was 1167.41 to 1454.26 cm2; the yield was 1727.05 to 2178.67 kg/hm2, which was 20.83%-52.43% higher than that of ‘K326’; the output value was 43368.90 to 58946.13 yuan/hm2, which was 29.68%-76.26% higher than that of ‘K326’. The disease resistance, appearance quality and sensory quality of the three varieties were better than those of ‘K326’, and ‘FJ312’ and ‘Minyan 7’ had the strongest disease resistance, whose incidence rate of the tobacco mosaic virus, tobacco bacterial wilt and tobacco brown spot were zero. In a word, ‘FJ312’, ‘Minyan 7’ and ‘Yunyan 87’, which are adaptable in Shaoguan ecological tobacco areas, can be used as local backup flue-cured tobacco varieties and have certain application prospects.

  Effects of Different Humic Acid Contents in Substrates on Growth and Root Morphological Characteristics of Tobacco Seedling FAN Jun, WANG Rui, XU Dabing, TAN Jun 2022, 12 (7):  45-49.  DOI: 10.11923/j.issn.2095-4050.cjas2020-0183 Abstract + ( 174 )   HTML ( 7 )   PDF ( 1182KB )   ( 125 ) To explore the application effects of humic acid on tobacco seedling, different amounts of humic acid (0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0 g/plant) were added to the substrate and the growth and morphological characteristics of tobacco seedlings were studied with the method of tray seedling culture. The results showed that the tobacco seedling rate, strong seedling index, biomass, plant height, stem diameter, leaf length and width increased first and then decreased with the increase of humic acid in the substrate, and reached the maximum in the treatment of 1.0 to 1.5 g/plant. And the seedling rate and the strong seedling index reached 92.3% and 1.05, increased by 3.6 percentage points and 16.7% compared with those of the control, separately. In addition, humic acid in the substrate improved the root surface area, average diameter, root volume and the total length of roots at all levels. According to the comprehensive comparison, humic acid could effectively improve the root morphological characteristics and the overall quality of tobacco seedlings, and the optimal amount of humic acid added in the substrate is 1.0-1.5 g/plant (the total content of pure humic acid is 28.8%-34.4%).

The research aims to provide a basis for the comprehensive utilization of this waste liquid which has lots of bioactive components. We analyzed the bioactive components of the processing liquid and the fermentation broth by gas chromatography-mass spectrometer (GC-MS) and liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS). The results show that the processing liquid of garlic slices mainly contains volatile sulfur-containing compounds such as diallyl disulfide (DADS), 2-vinyl-4H-1,3-dithiene (vinyldithiins) and so on. The volatile components in the fermentation broth include methyl-l-arabinopyranoside, butyric acid and pentanoic acid. The processing liquid of garlic slices contains non-volatile components, mainly γ-L-glutamyl-S-(2-propenyl)-L-cysteine, and illisimoid A and 5'-(hydroxysulfonyloxy) jasmonic acid are the main non-volatile components in the fermentation broth. The volatile and non-volatile components in the processing liquid of garlic slices can be used as the source of effective active substances.

In this paper, we sorted out the evolutionary history of traditional Chinese veterinary medicine and analyzed the effect of innovative tools on promoting the advancement of traditional Chinese veterinary medicine. Meanwhile, discussion was carried out to shed light on the development of modern Chinese veterinary medicine. Results indicate that innovative tools could strongly promote the evolution of traditional Chinese veterinary medicine and the innovative thinking has important implications for the development of modern Chinese veterinary medicine.

Applying manure made of this sort of excrement can cause accumulation of copper and zinc in soil, destruct the soil texture and microbes, have negative influence on the yields and nutrients of crops, increase the content of copper and zinc in crops and potentially harm human health through the food chain. China’s livestock and poultry breeding industry has entered a large-scale stage with the largest number of pigs and poultry in the world, and the residue of copper and zinc in livestock and poultry excrement has become one of the most urgent problems in agricultural environment management. In view of current situation, this paper reviewed the research process of promoting the absorption of copper and zinc in livestock and poultry and reducing the bioavailability of them in the feces through the application of different technologies, including applying amino acid chelates of copper and zinc, using passivating agents in composting, adopting biological leaching, electrochemical and organic acid extraction methods. Suggestions on regulating feed production, managing breeding and improving organic fertilizer standards were put forward, which could provide a theoretical and technical basis for solving the problems of copper and zinc pollution in agricultural environment in China.

It is suggested that in the process of mechanical-harvesting of maize grain, the key cultivation techniques should be breeding excellent varieties suitable for direct mechanical-harvesting, improving planting patterns, optimizing nutrient and water application methods, and developing efficient chemical control products to promote dehydration. Combining with maize production practice, suggestions are put forward to speed up the popularization of mechanical-harvesting of maize grains, such as speeding up the breeding of varieties of early maturity, fast dehydration and suitable for mechanical-harvesting; clarifying the factors and mechanisms that influence the dynamic state of mechanical-harvesting of grains in each ecological region; comprehensively using variety breeding, variety maturity stage configuration, delayed harvesting period and matching cultivation techniques. At the same time, it is necessary to develop light-simplified agricultural machinery equipment matching with agronomic measures, so as to enhance the application of mechanical-harvesting technology of maize grain and the overall competitiveness of maize industry.

  RNAi Vector Construction of Lilium GBSS Gene ZHANG Jinzhong 2022, 12 (7):  69-73.  DOI: 10.11923/j.issn.2095-4050.cjas2020-0211 Abstract + ( 351 )   HTML ( 3 )   PDF ( 1684KB )   ( 131 ) To study the mechanism of GBSS gene affecting the synthesis and metabolism of bulb starch during the formation and development of lily bulbs, a RNAi vector interfering with GBSS gene was constructed to provide materials for GBSS silencing expression at the transcriptional level. The conserved sequence of 300 bp of GBSS gene was cloned from lily scales. The sequence was positively and inversely connected to the interference vector pJawohl8-RNAi by BP and LR reaction. pDONR221-GBSS entry clone and pJawohl8-RNAi-GBSS expression vector were successfully constructed, which could provide materials and reference for the study of GBSS gene function and its influence on bulb development in the synthesis and metabolism pathway of lily bulb starch.

  Research on the Relationship Between the Meteorological Factors and the Breeding of Shrimp and Crab in Xiangyang, Hubei LIU Xianghe, KONG Jianghong 2022, 12 (7):  74-80.  DOI: 10.11923/j.issn.2095-4050.cjas20200300077 Abstract + ( 295 )   HTML ( 11 )   PDF ( 1256KB )   ( 167 ) This paper aims to evaluate the influence of meteorological factors on the shrimp and crab breeding industry in Xiangyang of Hubei Province, and put forward corresponding measures for scientific breeding of shrimp and crab. The laws of meteorological factors' change were analyzed based on nearly 30 years data observed in Xiangyang. The authors reviewed the annual changing trend of main meteorological factors related to the breeding of shrimp and crab, such as temperature, sunshine hours, continuous wet weather, rainstorm, wind force and atmospheric pressure, and discussed the potential climate risks, in order to make rational use of weather forecasting and early warning to achieve the purpose of disaster prevention and reduction. The results showed that suitable temperature, abundant rainfall, mild climate, sufficient sunshine and relatively fewer meteorological disasters could provide favorable climatic conditions for the breeding of shrimp and crab in Xiangyang. By analyzing the law of temperature change in Xiangyang and the relationship between air temperature and water temperature, the authors determined the best period of postlarvae release (after Qingming) and the best period of fishing (before Frost's Descent) for shrimp and crab breeding. At the same time, the authors also analyzed the effects of meteorological factors such as low temperature damage, sunshine hours, continuous rainstorm, gale and thunderstorms on the breeding of shrimp and crab, and put forward the corresponding preventive measures to reduce the impact of weather disasters. This study could provide a theoretical basis for the local meteorological department to make medium and long-term climate prediction and short-term weather forecasting and warning services according to the shrimp and crab breeding cycle. Based on our research results, farmers should attach great importance to the application of early warning information and take active measures to reduce the loss of shrimp and crab breeding caused by meteorological disasters.

  Application Status of Integrated Planting-Breeding Circular Agriculture Mode in China LIU Qiongfeng, ZHOU Junyu, WU Haiyong, GU Yu, LI Mingde, HONG Xi, WU Jinshui, XIAO He’ai 2022, 12 (7):  81-88.  DOI: 10.11923/j.issn.2095-4050.cjas2022-0021 Abstract + ( 449 )   HTML ( 16 )   PDF ( 1147KB )   ( 251 ) According to the characteristics of the agricultural ecosystem and farming and breeding system, this paper summarized the circular agriculture mode of integrated planting-breeding which combines the planting industry with pig breeding industry or herbivorous animal breeding industry and the circulation pattern of rice field planting and feeding. This paper focused on the application status of ‘pig-biogas/ fertilizer-farmland planting system’, ‘pig-biogas/fertilizer-garden planting system’, ‘pig-biogas/fertilizer-grass’, ‘pig-biogas/ fertilizer-algae’, and ‘forage(straw)-herbivorous animal breeding (cattle, goat)-biogas/ fertilizer-planting system’, and ‘rice-fish’ farming, rice-duck symbiosis, rice-shrimp symbiosis and other recycling modes. It pointed out that feed conversion and utilization of breeding wastes are the key links to regulating nutrient flow in the integrated planting-breeding circular modes. Referring to the crop species and nutrient requirements of the planting system, the characteristics of feed quality requirements of the breeding system and the nutrient absorption ability of the planting system to the breeding wastes, to reasonably allocate the biological structure and time-space structure of the integrated planting-breeding system, and improve the nutrient recycling efficiency of the planting-breeding system are the key points to realize the planting-breeding balance. Based on the traditional circular agriculture mode, it is necessary to innovate and develop the environmental protection planting-breeding circular agriculture mode and construct a comprehensive management system of nutrient resources of integrated planting-breeding circular system, which can be the principal way for realizing the green production and sustainable development of planting industry, and livestock and poultry breeding industry in China.

  The Development of Biosafety Management Mechanism of Genetically Modified Technology: Countermeasures and Suggestions GAO Feiyu 2022, 12 (7):  89-93.  DOI: 10.11923/j.issn.2095-4050.cjas2022-0002 Abstract + ( 197 )   HTML ( 6 )   PDF ( 1145KB )   ( 159 ) In order to control the risks in the chain of genetically modified technology research and development and achievement transformation, major countries in the world have formulated relatively strict genetically modified safety management laws or regulations. This article analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the safety management mechanism of agricultural genetically modified organisms in China at this stage by investigating the corresponding mechanisms of major countries in the world, and finds that there is a lack of coordination and unification of the standard system management in the development process, and the inspection and quarantine level needs to be improved, so do the legal and regulatory systems. Based on this, countermeasures and suggestions are put forward, such as strengthening the coordination of standard system management, enhancing the inspection and quarantine level of genetically modified products, increasing the publicity of genetically modified products and improving the construction of laws and regulations on the safety of genetically modified food.

  Industrial Competitiveness and Its Influencing Factors of Major Fruits in Yantai HE Shupeng, ZHAO Xianwen, CUI Youchuan, CUI Xiaoyan, YU Xitao, WANG Chengguo 2022, 12 (7):  94-100.  DOI: 10.11923/j.issn.2095-4050.cjas2022-0023 Abstract + ( 225 )   HTML ( 5 )   PDF ( 1406KB )   ( 208 ) In order to promote the further development of the industry of major fruits in Yantai of Shandong Province, based on Yantai Statistical Yearbook and Shandong Statistical Yearbook, we adopted EXCEL and SPSS software, and entropy weight method and TOPSIS method, to analyze the industrial competitiveness indexes and their influencing factors of the major fruits (apple, pear, grape and cherry) in Yantai. The results showed that the industrial competitiveness of the major fruits in Yantai was overall weak at the time level, but the average competitiveness presented a rising trend year by year; the industrial competitiveness of the four major fruits had a gap among them but the gap was narrowing year by year. The ranking of the main influencing factors of the competitiveness of the fruit industry from 2015 to 2019 was basically the same, among them, brand value and brand value growth rate were always ranked as the top two. The percentage difference between the indexes was positively correlated with the close degree of the competitiveness. It is recommended to reasonably plan the industrial layout, promote deep processing of products, increase investment in scientific research and improve cold-chain logistics, in order to promote the development of the fruit industry in Yantai.
