Abstract:

With the development of global economy and the requirement of environmental protection, organic agriculture has been under development for more than 20 years in China. After the implement of Chinese organic regulation from 2005, the organic agriculture developed fast in recent years. This chapter introduces the background and developmental stages of organic agriculture, the status quo of organic production and marketing, developmental policies, strategies, and measures for the continued development of organic farming in China.
